Applying EP to obtain PR! Is it easier now after introduction of Compass Points?

Currently, there is only one pathway to obtain Singapore Permanent Residency (PR) in a single step, which is the GIP (Global Investor Program), with a minimum investment threshold starting from SGD 10 million.

However, we currently have a project where you can obtain PR in 1-3 years at a cost of less than SGD 250,000-500,000, and additionally receive dividends in the first two years.

There are two subscription methods, and we will illustrate one: Investing SGD 500,000 to subscribe for a 17% stake in a specific outlet of a Singapore F&B group, applying for an EP, and applying for PR after holding the EP for at least six months.

First Year: Investors receive a refund of SGD 50,000 + dividends (calculated based on 17% of the outlet’s profit)

Second Year: Investors receive a refund of SGD 50,000 + dividends (calculated based on 15.3% of the outlet’s profit)

Third Year: Investors receive a refund of SGD 150,000 + dividends (calculated based on 13.6% of the outlet’s profit), while also receiving a refund of all shares initially subscribed for the outlet

In terms of cost, obtaining PR costs less than SGD 250,000. With the inclusion of profit dividends, the cost could be even lower than SGD 250,000. This can be considered the most competitive pathway for investment immigration to Singapore. Additionally, subscribing to shares of an established company is far more cost-effective than opening a new store, eliminating concerns about store expenses, subsequent promotions, and profit or loss.
