On November 4th, the Australian Department of Education made a groundbreaking announcement: the Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) Wage Justice Bill has been passed by the House of Representatives! 🙌

This new bill, titled the 2024 Early Childhood Education and Care Worker Wage Justice (Special Account) Bill, will increase wages by 15% over the next two years! Here’s the breakdown:

December 2024: A 10% wage increase!
December 2025: An additional 5% increase!

The Australian government has also allocated a $3.6 billion investment to attract and retain ECEC workers, with more than 30,000 new positions already created.
