Vanuatu Passport – New Biometric Rules from July 1

  • Article Release Date: May 29, 2025
Last chance to apply under old rules.
On May 27, the government announced that with the launch of its new e-passport system, several additional identity documents will be required:
Vanuatu Birth Certificate
Vanuatu National ID Card
Current Passport (Non-Vanuatu)
Citizenship Certificate & Approval Letter
INTERPOL Criminal Record File (CRF)
Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) Clearance
Official Payment Receipt
Starting July 1, biometric data will be mandatory for all applicants — including dependents. There are three ways to complete this step:
1️⃣ Fly to Vanuatu – biometrics included, no extra cost
2️⃣ Visit biometric centers in Hong Kong or Dubai – approx. USD $2,000 per person
3️⃣ Request on-site capture – fees include immigration officers’ airfare, hotel, meals & service costs
Act Now – Final Window to Avoid Biometric Requirements
Start your application now and you may still qualify under the simplified process — no biometric steps, and fewer documents — if you complete it before the June 25 nationality confirmation deadline.
Why Now?
Caribbean CBI programs have already increased to over USD $200,000.
Vanuatu remains faster, more cost-effective, and globally recognized — but only for a limited time.
